The VSS ‘LECA’ Filter media as compared to conventional filter media has much higher porosity which gives lower initial head loss and slow head loss build up. The total dynamic head loss across the filter is a mere 0.5m Head this along with the fact that the recommended backwash rate for the filter is much lower than the conventional media, allows us to choose a lower sized pump which saves considerable energy during operation. Also minimizing water loss to back wash by increasing the
filter run time, energy is saved heating or cooling the replacing water.

Verseau’s High rate VSS ‘LECA’ filters substantially reduce maintenance costs. Compared to the partial cleaning that occurs with typical pressure sand filters, VSS provides complete backwash and cleaning of the filters with a 35% lesser backwash rate due to the excellent expansion properties of the LECA media. The filter cycle of a VSS ‘LECA’ filter is a minimum of 15 days, rather than the 2-3 day filter cycles of a typical pressure sand filters.

Six-Port Multiport Valve
A six-port selector valve able to perform several functions in a hydraulic circuit: Filtration, flushing, shut-off, backwashing and rinsing of the filter. Its extremely functional design means that it can be fitted upto any installation. All joints will be perfectly sealed and it is easy to operate. Its minimum friction and resistance, maximum safety and pleasant finish were decisive factors in choosing the materials that best adapted to the needs of all of its components: ABS body, lid and handle, PPO distributor, EPDM gaskets, metal parts in stainless steel.
